Brain Based Learning Strategies
Tang Fellow Christine Marshall created SYNAPSE, a toolkit to help students work smarter, not harder. SYNAPSE stands for: Simplify, Yes, Narrate, Associate, Personalize, Sleep, Exercise. Each of these words represents one of the seven stages in the process of knowledge acquisition, using research into the brain science of learning.
Benefits
The SYNAPSE approach helps students understand their brains. Through biological self-awareness, students are able to make decisions about their studies that help their learning progress in measurable ways.
